Alison Quinlan
Founder and Principal Teacher Namaste House Yoga Studio
YAP - Senior Yoga Teacher
ERYT-500/ YACEP
Certified Happiness Coach | Certified Grief Coach
Alison is a devoted yoga teacher, mentor and retreat leader based in Ireland, known for her unwavering commitment to teaching yoga from its source — the Eight Limbs. With a style that eschews gimmicks and trend-led distractions, Alison invites students into a space of real connection: to their breath, their bodies, and their truth.
A former ballet dancer turned creative professional, Alison discovered yoga during her art college days at NCAD. After an award-winning career in the Irish Film Industry as a Marketing and Communications Director, she turned inward, choosing a path guided not by deadlines, but by dharma.
Since 2019, Alison has been the creative force behind Namaste House Yoga School — a haven for embodied movement, soulful study, and community connection. The studio is a living expression of her philosophy: humble, warm, and filled with laughter, music, stillness and colour.
An experienced Senior Yoga Teacher and lifelong student, Alison teaches Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Somatic Movement and Yoga Nidra, with a unique signature style — thoughtful, poetic, and unafraid of silence. She encourages students to sit in the tender space between fear and fearlessness, to feel more and perform less.
Alison leads 200-Hour Teacher Trainings and Continuing Education programmes at Namaste House alongside her husband, David, an Iyengar Yoga teacher. She is also a highly regarded international retreat leader, guiding groups through India, Spain and Italy — blending adventure with authentic yogic insight.
In addition to her teaching, Alison is a certified Happiness and Grief Coach, offering 1:1 mentoring and soul-led support. Her coaching style reflects her teaching: grounded, compassionate, and fiercely kind, helping others live their truth and fly their fabulous flags.
Alison continues to study every year, walking the path of yoga with humility, curiosity and love. Her lived experience has shaped her deep reverence for healing through presence, breath and being seen.
